Their
back! Solo the R&B music group from the 90’s. Don’t you
remember the songs “Heaven” and “Where do you want me to put
it”? I sure do. It has been many, many years since Solo fans have
heard from this amazing true R&B, Soul, Acapella, Neo Soul
group, out of New York, New York. Solo is back bringing their superb
R&B sound with their new album “3.0 REBOOTED”. Three of the
original members Robert Anderson, Darnell Chavis and Daniel Stokes
make up the group now. Eunique Mack declined when the other wanted to
put the group back together, to pursue his own thing. With one member
less, “Solo” is still bringing it. They have two new single out
called “Gone” and “Wonderful Pain”. Folks slept on Solo back
in the day. This group should have been famous they had such a
terrific sound. If you enjoy the old school R&B sound with great
harmonies, don’t sleep on Solo. You can listen to their music on

What can I say about J.P.
Cooper? He is a talented songwriter with a soulful voice. J.P. is from
Manchester, UK. He has a soulful acoustical sound mixed with gospel and a tinge of folk. A true singer-songwriter expresses
their talent in the lyrics of their music. I think lyrics in a
musician music should tell a story and draw the listener in. J.P.
Cooper does just that in the songs he sings. I’m very impressed
with the lyrics in his music they are deep. I urge you to check out
the amazing artist who is a true gift to the music world. Here are
some of my favorites songs, “Learn From The Landscapes”, “Little
House”, “Halo”, “Oh The Water”, “Colour Me In Gold”,
"What Went Wrong", “Oh Brother”, "The Only

Angie Fisher
I
have never heard of Angie Fisher until DJ Michael Ealey started
playing her song “I.R.S.” written by B. Slade on Streetwise
Radio. Ooooo! Weeee! Angie Fisher has a set of pipes on her. She has
been in the background singing and doing studio sessions for some of
the great artist of our times, like Michael Jackson, Celine Dion,
Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Phillip Phillips, Michael Bublé,
Mary J. Blige, Lionel Richie, Missy Elliott, Robin Thicke, Josh
Groban and Kirk Franklin. After hearing her song I.R.S., I must say
this was the best move Angie Fisher could have made. A voice like
hers should not be in the background. You don’t hear singers like
her anymore. Angie has that gritty, bluesy, R&B soul sound that
hits you down in your gut and makes you want to hear more. I also
listened to Angie singing the song "Listen" and I must say
I like the way she sang it better than Beyonce’. I can’t wait to
hear her debut album after hearing the song “I.R.S.” I know it’s

Gwendolyn Collins
This singer/songwriter
from Hackensack, New Jersey is undiscovered by some people but not for long. I can
see her blowing up on On Air Radio stations as well as Internet
Radio. Gwendolyn Collins has an album out called “Storytelling Side
1”. This album is wonderful it has that Neo Soul, Jazzy feel. I’m
really liking her writing style and her voice is amazing. She tells a
story with her lyrics. I’ve never heard of Gwendolyn Collins until
DJ Michael Ealey turned me on to her. She is definitely going on my
playlist. Some of my favorite songs of Gwendolyn Collins are, “Simple
Things”, “Beautiful Fantasy”, “Beautiful Girl”, “Be
Happy”, “Feeling Blessed”, “Peel Me A Grape” and “Typical”.
Don’t sleep on this amazing artist Gwendolyn Collins, she is going

Songstress Kelly*Jones is
accustomed to drawing comparisons to artists like Lauryn Hill and
India.Arie. In fact, she does a cover of Arie’s "Brown Skin"
that is so stirring, it's tallied nearly 12,000 views on YouTube. But
where Arie made a name for herself with "acoustic soul,"
Jones has crafted "electric soul"—a striking mix of soul
and synth—her very own.
Hailing from Mount Vernon, NY,
Jones’ origins in music are fairly familiar: she grew up singing in
the youth choir at her father’s church, becoming a soloist early
on. Having her voice and soul nurtured by both the faith-based
community as well as by her three older and wiser sisters (two of
them also singers), writing lyrics quickly became a form of
expression for a child with much to say, but few willing to hear it.
This environment, a cacophony of set boundaries and independent
thought, along with varied influences like Stevie Wonder, The Beach
Boys, Donny Hathaway, and Sheryl Crow, became the conduit that helped
shape Jones’ mentality about the role music plays in life and in
personal growth.
As an adult, messages of
self-knowledge and empowerment are prevailing themes in Jones' songs.
She gives an offering of earnestness, both musically and personally,
on the song "Electric Soul" from her forthcoming 2013
album. When she sings: "this electricity is burning in my soul
and I gotta get it out," there is an undeniable sense that she
means more than just the music itself. Throughout her songwriting,
she allows listeners to eavesdrop on her internal dialogues, with
real-life struggles underscoring even the catchiest of melodies. On
the skillfully rendered “Alphabet Song”, Jones sings her
ABCs—literally—and shares her disappointment in the industry
machine that has yet to embrace her. The song’s opening statement,
“do you hear what they play on the radio these days? I guess
anything will pass for music,” is a bold testimony for a singer to
make, but Jones has more than enough vocal talent to justify the
sentiment.
Having shared her gifts as a solo
artist for ten years, Jones has travelled as far as Ghana and Italy
to perform and hone her self-assured stage presence. She has shared
the stage with renowned rock-jazz pianist ELEW (Eric Lewis), opened
for Grammy winner Marsha Ambrosius, “freestyled” with
comedian/singer Reggie Watts, and counts a first place win at the
famed Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night among her many
accomplishments. Also the musical director, keyboard player, and
vocalist for the group Kolition, Kelly helped lead the band to a 2013
Best Hip Hop Group victory at the Artist in Music Awards in Los
Angeles.
As her achievements and accolades
continue to grow, it is the depth of emotion in her voice that truly
sets her apart from her contemporaries. Jones’ vocals are instantly
recognizable as genuine, resulting in lyrics and melodies that are
inspired. She proudly represents the continuing resurgence of artists

away from roads most travelled. Her identity as a songwriter is born
